“You are so pretty…” Scott sighed dreamily, hugging Zahra’s bare leg while looking up at her with starry eyes. “Will you be my girlfriend?” He blurt out.
Zahra blushed when everyone sitting around the table laughed. She smiled unsurely at the little boy, not knowing what to say.
“Okay buddy.” Chris scooped up six-year-old and placed him away from her. “Go help Uncle Cam.”
“But-But…” Scott protested.
“Nope, go on.” Chris crossed his arms intimidatingly.
Scott’s shoulders dropped in defeat. But the sneaky boy, Chris noticed, had the nerve to wink at his girlfriend before scurrying away. His family mercilessly laughed at his displeased frown. And the frown only grew deeper when he noticed that his chair next to Zahra was occupied by Pebbles who was getting pats from her.
