18. COMPLETE STRANGER TO ME ‘Oh..la..la…’ ‘Lunch or Coffee together’ This man has a point and I like his point’. Hearing Mr. Thakur’s words my heart started doing a happy dance. That was exactly what I was thinking of.  Oh I really want to thank this man for helping me out. I am really in need to know her better. And before that I want to rectify my image in her eyes. She must be thinking me of as a p*****t. I know I was acting like ONE earlier by nonstop checking her out in the lift, but I don’t know why I could not help myself from not doing that? I am having a guilty feeling now for how I behaved with her. I was gawking on her in one moment and in the next moment I was angry on her for accusing me. “Okay Sir” she replied in a low voice. “And one more thing, after your discussions with Sid, I want you to give me a brief report about the launch event within three to four days. Or I suggest it will be better if you both will prepare that report and show me.” “Yes sir” Rabnoor and I both said in unison. “Okay, then let me know when you both will be ready with your report.” Mr. Thakur exclaimed. “Right Sir” she said shooking her head in positive. “And Satya meet me in my office, I want you to discuss few things with you” Mr. Thakur said to that Satya guy. “Yes sure Sir” he replied back straightening his posture. After giving instructions to both of them, Mr.Thakur left the meeting room. I thought I will be able to talk with her but that guy, now he started. “Hey Rabnoor, Congratulations for getting this big assignment. I wish you will be able to do everything without any problem.” “Thank you Sir” she replied. “Sir ??” he frowned showing fake anger. “How many times I have told you not to call me ‘Sir’?” he stated putting his hands on his waist. “And I have also told you many times that you are my senior and it does not sound nice calling a senior by his name.” she replied back. “But I insist you to call me Satya only.” He pleaded. “Okay, as you say….. SIR” she said putting more pressure on the word ‘Sir’. And after saying this she started laughing in a teasing manner. The other guy also started laughing whilst shooking his head in disbelief. ‘What is going on here?’ ‘And why are they talking like this?’ ‘Now I am having a doubt again’ ‘Is he trying to woo her?’ I clenched my jaw and my hands curled up in fist. Anger is racing through my nerves. ‘Wait a minute ….why is this affecting me?’ ‘I don’t know why I am not liking this?’ “Call whatever you are fine with. Doesn’t matter” he said to Rabnoor and turn towards me. ‘Now what he has to do with me?’ “Hello, I am Satya, Satya Sharma, Senior Manager of Administrative department of our company. I am always there for you, if you need any help.” He said extending his arm to me for a handshake. “Hi, I am Sid. Nice to meet you.’ I said accepting his hand. “Anyways I take my leave and you both shall continue.” He said looking first to me and then to Rabnoor. He then turned on his heels and left the meeting room. ‘Finally’ ‘Now only we both left in this meeting room’ I was still standing behind her and facing her back, anticipating her expressions. There was a deep silence in the room between us. It was more of an awkward silence. ‘I should take initiative to break this awkward silence’ I thought to myself. ‘But what should I say?’ ‘Oh God! why I am feeling nervous?’ ‘I have never felt like this.’ ‘She is not even looking towards me.’ ‘What should I do????’ Swallowing the lump that is formed in my throat, I somehow managed to speak. “Ahm...Hi” I said to gain her attention. She abruptly turned towards me flipping her long dark hairs. While turning she ran her fingers through her loose strands of hairs and move them towards the back of her ear. ‘Holy s**t!’ ‘My heart skipped a beat on the beautiful sight in front of me.’ “Mmm..Hi” she replied gingerly, seeing in my eyes and then averting her gaze off me back to her belongings that were still on the table. “So…??” I asked wanting to know what next she is thinking to do. “So What?” She snapped without looking in my direction still gathering her stuff. “I am asking about…. I mean… Ahm ..Where you would like to go?” I managed to ask her somehow, still feeling guilty inside. “Go…Why?” Rabnoor asked me.  She finally turned toward me narrowing her eyes on me. ‘Oh I see’ ‘She is mad on me’ “Mr. Thakur just said that we should go for coffee or have lunch together. That’s why I am asking you, where would you like to go?” I asked lowly. “I am not going anywhere with you. Do you get that?” She snapped again. “But Why?” I enquired her wanting to know why she doesn’t want to go with me. “Because I don’t trust you. You are a complete stranger to me and to be more specific a weird stranger.” She exclaimed fuming in anger. ‘Oh Crap’ ‘She is not only mad on me’ ‘She is HELL ANGRY on me’
