Matt POV
Talia and I passionately, and unapologetically made love to one another until evening. As we lie, curled up together under the sheet of the king-sized guest bed, I determined now was as good of a time as any to address the very large elephant in the room.
I hug Talia tightly to me, as her fingers trace circles on my chest. I kiss the top of her head, before speaking.
“Talia, we need to talk.” I tell her.
“Yes, I know.” She replies softly.
“Bradley wants me to stay and accept the position of Beta.” I confess.
“He told me.” She says quietly.
“Tell me honestly how you feel about that.” I gently command.
“Home for me is wherever you are. While I love our life in the Black Hills, if this is where you need to be, then I’ll be here with you.” Talia answers.
I hug her tighter.
