“I have asked Amethyst, but she said that she had not seen her all day.”
Aurora got an idea and told Melanie that Lilith went somewhere but should be back soon. Melanie said nothing else about it and kissed Aurora as she said goodnight.
Aurora sighed as it was getting difficult to lie to her mother. She laid down and tried to relax. It took her a bit of time to fall asleep.
The next day, Aurora walked to Amethyst’s room and saw that Nira was still sleeping. She woke her up and told her to get ready for school. Nira opened one eye, sat up, and yawned.
“Where you not able to sleep?” Aurora looked at her.
“I did, but I kept dreaming,” Nira answered with a sleepy voice.
“Well, that’s not good. Anyhow, get ready.”
“Okay.” Nira rubbed her eyes.
Aurora headed downstairs to have breakfast.
