Chapter 20: Cat and DogTHE NEXT MORNING, GWYN STOOD with Caz and Ed beside Ed’s truck outside the store. Ed had a street map of Thunder Lake spread open on the hood and was suggesting spots in town where people congregated. Gwyn had finally agreed that he and Caz could split up to look for anyone with the Mark, provided she let Ed and Gelert accompany her. She hadn’t objected to teaming up with Ed, but Gelert was another story.
“I have to take him, too?” she’d replied, eyeing Gelert warily. The huge hound looked up at her, wagging his tail. “Because of my totem’s natural affinity with large predators?”
