Chapter Twenty-Two Kurt was locking up Bayside Auto when his mobile phone rang. The ringtone told him it was his wife calling and he wondered what she’d want him to pick up on the way home. ‘Hi, honey.’ ‘Listen up!’ said a male voice Kurt didn’t recognize. ‘Who are you?’ said Kurt. ‘What are you doing with Georgia’s phone?’ ‘Shut up and listen, Viking!’ Kurt waited. He knew a threatening tone when he heard one. ‘Please do what he says, Kurt. He’s got a gun,’ said Georgia. Kurt felt his legs turning to jelly and leant back on the door of the workshop. ‘Have I got your attention now, Viking?’ said the male voice. ‘What do you want?’ said Kurt, sliding down the door to sit on the ground. ‘s**t’s hit the fan,’ said the voice. ‘Holden’s disappeared.
