Chapter Seven On the morning after he’d administered justice to Kelly Palmer, Trent made himself a coffee and sat down with the paper. He felt refreshed. He’d enjoyed a good night’s sleep; a night free of the nightmare that usually interrupted his slumber. He was feeling good about himself. He’d finally acted and executed the first name on his list, instead of sitting around agonising over whether it was the right thing to do or not. In Trent’s mind, retribution was the purest form of justice he could administer, and he had administered it. But, he was under no illusion that what he was doing was within the law.
