THALIA It’s been two days since then, and yet my mind refuses to let it go. No matter how busy I make myself in the house, folding laundry, helping Reagan with his reading, double-checking cupboards that don’t need checking, and cleaning everything, I keep circling back to that moment in the hospital hallway. I was so certain and not at the same time. I really felt Darius close, almost as if he was just behind me, but he was nowhere to be found at all.
