THALIA Everything that happened after Darius left felt unreal and more like a blur, with my mind refusing to keep up with my body. I barely remembered how we fled. One moment, I could barely stand from shock, and next, we were already running again. We shifted back in a rush of pain and exhaustion, and someone shoved clothes into my hands. Someone lifted Reagan for me when my legs nearly gave out. And finally, managing to reach back to our vehicles and dashing away from the woods before the hunters could catch up to us. We’re all alive. Somehow, that felt unreal, too. We didn’t stop until we reached Gino’s house. When the doors finally closed behind us, the place was still enveloped with silence heavier than the chaos we’d escaped. Everyone was scattered through the living room. So
