Just then there was a commotion outside her room and appearing from behind him was the king. Looking around the space, he moved his eyes from the broken door, to Dominic, to Trinity, then to Jayson. His eyes swept the room another round before he spotted the now fully visible marks on Jayson and Trinity's necks. His eyes flashed with anger.
"Explain yourselves, now!" He yelled.
Dominic remained quiet while Jayson nudged Trinity. He was checking to see if she wanted to talk or if she wanted him to. Giving him a slight nod, Trinity began.
