**Chapter 75: What the Hell Are the "Three Treasures"?**

1155 Words
Who showed up this early? Tingyun poked her head out curiously. The moment she saw who it was, she burst out laughing. "It's you! Big star!!! Long time no see." Xu Zijun sniffed the amazing spicy, numbing, savory aroma that filled the yard, let out a satisfied sigh, and when he spoke, his voice almost cracked. "Boss Jiang, I finally made it back! I finished filming and went back to Yancheng a while ago. I'm back for reshoots. The moment I got to Fenghuang, I headed straight to your place!" *Sniff sniff.* This smell. So damn good. Back when he left Fenghuang Film Base, Xu Zijun never imagined he'd miss Qionghua Eatery this much. At the time, he figured — sure, the food here was great, but Yancheng was a first-tier metropolis. There had to be plenty of great farmhouse-style restaurants. He could try a few new places. But after he got back to Yancheng, with recommendations from all his friends, he ate his way through every private kitchen he could find. The ingredients were impressive — everything you could think of. Some specialty ingredients were so expensive he had to grit his teeth. And the taste? Just okay. Finally, he ate at the famous Tongsheng Restaurant, and *that* finally satisfied his palate — which Chef Jiang had spoiled rotten. But taste aside, what really freaked him out was his weight. Back when he was eating at Qionghua Eatery every day, he only needed to work out for two hours and his weight stayed perfectly stable — didn't go up at all, even dropped a little. His assistant even said his abs were more defined, his complexion was rosy, and his whole energy was different. But after eating at all those fancy Yancheng places — even though the food tasted great at the time — stepping on the scale the next morning almost made his knees buckle. He still exercised after eating. But the numbers just kept climbing. Scared the hell out of him. Right now, right this moment, he vaguely realized what was special about Qionghua Eatery. Pure, unprocessed flavors. Local, authentic ingredients. And most importantly — you really didn't seem to gain weight from eating here! That one thing alone had him dreaming about Qionghua Eatery all the way back in Yancheng. When they told him he had to come back to Fenghuang for reshoots, his agent and assistant were a bit annoyed — thought it was a waste of his time. But Xu Zijun? Not a single complaint! He finally had an excuse to come back to Fenghuang! Qionghua Eatery — here I come! "...Big star? Xu Zijun? Hey, wake up, wake up! What's wrong with you?" Tingyun was getting a little worried watching him stand there in a daze. The guy had just spaced out completely. Xu Zijun snapped out of his messy thoughts and grabbed Tingyun's hands. "Boss Jiang, this smell is incredible! What are you guys eating? Give me some too — I've been starving myself for days to lose weight." "We're eating goat spine hot pot. It's not that I don't want to share, but there's barely even any bones left." She wasn't exaggerating either. Look at Pei Jingmo's table area — he'd eaten a ton of goat spine, but there wasn't a single bone left. He'd even crushed and swallowed the bones. Xu Zijun's handsome face fell. Qionghua Eatery was just too cruel! What time was it, and they were already eating goat spine hot pot? Were they all bottomless pits? There were only a few of them, but that giant pot was already completely empty. "Then what are you serving for lunch today, Boss Jiang? I can wait right here." Tingyun pointed at the chalkboard menu and grinned. "Funny you should ask — there's some good stuff today. Take a look." Really? Xu Zijun brightened up immediately and ran over to the front desk to read the menu carefully. It said: * Boiled Goat with Dipping Sauce (limited quantity) * Clear Goat Broth * Goat, Cabbage, and Vermicelli Clay Pot * Charcoal-Grilled "Three Treasures of the Goat" (limited to two orders) Everything on the menu today was goat. Tingyun kept it simple — not divided by cuts of meat, just by preparation method. Not sold by weight either — fixed price per dish. Goat was expensive anyway, so she'd priced things pretty high. But in Xu Zijun's eyes, compared to those fancy Yancheng private kitchens, this was nothing. Plus, Boss Jiang's food didn't seem to make you gain weight. For that alone, he'd pay any price without blinking. He thought for a moment. "Three Treasures of the Goat" — he had no idea which parts of the goat those were, but it sounded fancy and delicious. And only two orders available — that sounded pretty great. He quickly called out his order: "Boss Jiang, give me that charcoal-grilled Three Treasures. I'll take both orders!" "......Both orders?" Suddenly, everyone in Qionghua Sect turned to stare at him. Liu Yanghe's expression was especially over the top. He slowly sized Xu Zijun up and down. "Brother, you really are a big star, huh? I didn't know you were that intense — you must be pretty good at— OW!!" Tingyun stomped on his foot again to stop him from saying anything else horrifying. Then she carefully asked, "Xu Zijun... do you know what the 'Three Treasures of the Goat' are?" Xu Zijun looked completely lost. "No idea. But they're 'treasures,' right? So... what parts are they?" "Ahem..." Tingyun suppressed a laugh. Just as she'd thought — the kid had no clue what he'd just ordered. She was trying to figure out how to explain. Zhu Lili said flatly: "You know, *that* stuff. The parts that guys have and girls don't. And *that* other thing. And *that*." She started dancing around and gesturing wildly. *Smack.* Uncle Liu whacked her hard on the back. "You're a young lady. Don't talk about that kind of thing." Xu Zijun wasn't completely clueless. It clicked immediately. His whole face turned bright red. He started panicking, waving his hands frantically. "Never mind, never mind — forget the Three Treasures. I don't... I don't need those yet. Boss Jiang, just give me the goat, cabbage, and vermicelli clay pot. And a bowl of rice." Tingyun checked the time. The goat had been out of the soup for a while now — should be cool enough. The goat broth should be just about ready too. She walked into the kitchen. Sure enough, after hours of simmering, the broth had turned milky white and rich. It smelled sweet and savory, with a faint creamy note. "Looks like that vendor wasn't lying. This goat broth is really good." Since the big star hadn't eaten properly in days because of his diet, she didn't waste any more time. She got to work making the goat, cabbage, and vermicelli clay pot.
