Penelope's pov The wind was strong, and somehow I'd woken up to the call of a wolf. The howl was enough to make my skull pound as pain ricocheted through my lower half. I think yesterday was the last day of my period, today's the day I'm going to shift. Aphrodite must have started things off, because the howling from the wolf persisted. And it sounded far too real and close to home. I shook the sleep off my body, parting my eyelids and trying to get a view of the room. After a moment of adjusting my vision, I was able to roll my body out of bed and stop with my foot before this ended up being the morning I broke my nose. The room was still a bit fuzzy, but I found my way to the bathroom in one piece. Splashed some water to get the sleep out of me, and then I got to getting ready. I
