"Lexi is injured, she's in the treatment room now, her condition is very critical. When she was still conscious, she asked to keep you here first. She's afraid that members of the wild Pack might attack you," said Lexi's mother.

I was shocked to hear this. And worried about Lexi's condition. The he-wolf who had saved me. If Lexi hadn't brought me here at that time, I don't know what would have happened to my life. And I could have been hunted by the wild Pack group known to be very savage and dangerous.

I lowered both my feet from the bed. "Where are you going?" asked Lexi's mother.

"Take me to where Lexi is being treated, Ma'am, I want to see her condition."

We stopped at a closed room. "Lexi is inside," said Lexi's mother.

We entered the closed room. Upon entering, I was shown Lexi's concerning condition. Her neck was injured and wrapped in white cloth. She lay weakly on the bed.

"She lost a lot of blood. I hope, after drinking my potion, she will recover soon," said Lexi's mother.

My feet stepped closer to Lexi, for some reason I felt a deep sadness seeing Lexi in this condition.

"Ma'am!" I exclaimed. I was startled to hear the door of this room open. How shocked I was to see a he-wolf enter the room where Lexi was being treated.

It wasn't just me who was surprised. Meanwhile, Lexi's mother immediately walked and stood in front of me. As if hiding me behind her body.

"Who is she?"

Yes, that voice immediately made my body tremble violently and freeze in place, who else but the voice of Alpha Edward, the leader of the Washington Pack.

"She's..."

"Who is she, Aunt?" Alpha Edward gently pulled Lexi's mother's hand, after which I lowered my head as Lexi's mother's body shifted, no longer hiding my presence.

Alpha Edward was silent for a moment after Lexi's mother lied. If he recognized my scent. And knew that I wasn't from the Washington Pack, then he would punish me.

"Really?" asked Lexi's mother loudly.

"Your hand is disrespectful!" He glared at my hand, which was holding his hand without permission.

Again, I was really embarrassed, I pulled my hand back, and I bowed. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to, Alpha Edward," I said with a trembling voice.

"Alright, Aunt, don't worry, members of the Westminster Pack will pay for their actions. Aunt, don't think too much, focus on Lexi's recovery. I will go take care of my business," he said.

Slightly relieved to hear that Alpha Edward would leave this room. I pretended to hold the cloth wrapped around Lexi's neck. So Alpha Edward wouldn't be suspicious. In fact, I knew nothing about medicine and healing.

Alpha Edward took his steps. I closed my eyes.

"This is a big problem," she said.

"He didn't recognize your body scent. But anyone who has come here won't be able to leave," said Lexi's mother.

I fell silent and pulled back my hand that was holding Lexi's neck.

"Move aside for a moment, Miss, I will change this cloth. Watch how I change this cloth, so you can face Alpha Edward after this."

I swallowed hard. I also wondered why Alpha Edward couldn't smell my presence?

"And again." Said Lexi's mother.

I turned to her. "He can't even read your mind." She said while looking at me intently.

"Who are you really, Miss?" she asked.
