Right before the team heads to training camp for two weeks in Michigan, Coach Bill and the rest of the coaching staffs encouraged us to hit the ice to prepare our bodies for it few days prior to it. The one month and a half break is already long enough for an athlete like me to stop from hitting the gym, the ice and not eating the prescribed diet. In all honesty, majority of the players including myself gets fat at the start of the summer by eating whatever we want and just works it off once training camp starts. That is why the coaches wants us to hit the ice for extra preparations.
