Megan's pov
“You know, dear," I turned to my mother-in-law, she had been talking about her marriage.
“When I first got married, it was very hard for me," she said with a daydreaming look and she continued.
“I wanted to be around my parents forever. My marriage with my husband was a contracted marriage,” she revealed, and I widened my eyes in surprise. They really shared so much chemistry to be involved in an arranged marriage.
“I hated him then, though, he wasn't the one that initiated the marriage. His father did, and my father agreed as he was a typical businessman,” she paused briefly.
I sipped from the tea she had given to me. It has this soothing and relaxing taste, I found myself enjoying it.
