“You bet you aren’t.” Vin got Davie’s backpack from under the bed, handing it to him. Digging out jeans and a T-shirt, Davie got dressed. By the time he finished he was feeling better, but he still went to take the pills, using the john and washing up while he was there. “What time is it?” he asked when he got back. “Time to have a talk with Tanner.” “That answered my question…not.” Vin chortled. “A little before noon like the kid I was talking to said.” When they got to the office, they rapped on the door.
