Beau pointed to one of the drawers, then began making coffee, wondering what Rick planned to do with hamburger, canned corn, and diced tomatoes with green chilies. “There better be a frying pan,” Rick muttered. Beau opened the drawer under the stove to hand him the pan. “This is it, so don’t get your hopes up. I didn’t buy the whole set.” Rick set it on a burner, got margarine from the fridge which he melted before adding the hamburger. As soon as it was sufficiently browned, he poured in the corn and tomatoes, bringing the mixture to a slow simmer.
