Chapter 10For the next couple of weeks, Beau and Rick only saw each other intermittently. Rick would leave to catch his bus for work right after breakfast. When he got home, they had a couple of hours together before Beau had to get to the club. By the time he got back, Rick was asleep and had been for a while. They didn’t even have much time on the weekends, what with Beau working Friday and Saturday nights while Rick was on during the days Saturday and Sunday.
Things changed when Rick came home one Tuesday afternoon, just over two weeks after he’d started at the restaurant, to announce, proudly, that he’d been upgraded to working evenings, from four until ten. “So we can spend our days together,” he added exuberantly.
