Chapter 49 We meet him at last
Millicent's POV I swipe the quickly melting ice over Aiden's cheek, internally praying to myself for any sign that shows he is there. But all that I get is just silence with his body still as stiff as a board. The tears start pouring down heavier than before. There is no calming my rapidly beating heart at this point. I keep crying as I continue to gently touch him hating how long it is taking to wake him and that he should probably be awake by now.. right? I gasp out in defeat as I lean my shaking body forward until my head is laying on his chest. I cry and internally beg until I'm stopped by a pressure on top of my hand that is felt before groaning is heard.
