"Happy birthday to you!" Someone was suddenly singing the birthday song as they pushed the cake in front of me. I was pleasantly surprised! I had completely forgotten it was my birthday.
I didn't expect Benjamin to know my birthday. With this, his intention with me was crystal clear. I didn't know what to do. It was the first time a man had done something so sweet for me. Everything he did today felt like a very comfortable breeze in spring.
"I really don't know what to say. I forgot it was my birthday today. You really shouldn't have bought the gift!" It was actually a birthday gift.
