I opened my eyes at an annoying beep sound only to come to realize that this wasn’t my room or bed I was lying sprawled on. I winched when I rolled over to push myself upright. I found the beeping sound when I found my phone going crazy with messages. I picked it up just to place it back down when I saw they were from my dad. I broke curfew. “Oh, god,” I was in so much trouble. I felt like lying back down, pulling the blanket back over my head and getting this day over with. Instead, I decided to act like an adult and stand up from Brandon’s bed. I left his room and headed downstairs where I found him wearing only shorts while picking up the trash from last night.
