Jackson was still reeling from his o****m, and the fact that his mate was talking about actually making their mating official. There was nothing Jackson wanted more than to claim his mate as his own. However, he didn’t understand how any of this was happening.
Gripping Cal by his hips tightly, Jackson asked the question, “I want this… I want you more than anything, Cal, but I have to ask why? I mean what? I mean… I don’t understand…”
Cal placed a finger over Jackson’s lips and gave him a small smile. “I knew before I left Trident territory I was making a mistake. Everything in me begged for me to turn around and talk this out, but in case you didn’t know, I’m a very stubborn man.”
