I paced back and forth. I couldn't tell if I was being frustrated or if I couldn't be at this anymore. I turned again to my beta as I groaned. “She hasn't called yet.” Even after everything, she still hasn't called. “After I pleaded with her,” I said to him as he shrugged. “I don't know what to do.”
I tried talking to Cyprus’s beta, but it's of no use. It seems he doesn't want to respond to me. “I think Cyprus has found out about it, and from the looks of it, it was Fiona who told him,” I said as I looked surprised. “What? I made her promise me that she wouldn't tell him a word. At least she should have kept to her word. I can't believe it. Is she so madly in love with Cyprus that she doesn't see that I need her help? I don't have enough time.” I said as he looked away.
