They decided to return to campus on Monday. While Lorna happily washed the clothes Dakota arrived in, he’d only brought one other set, and farms were dirty. He wanted to get the rest of his stuff—and say farewell to college life for good. Terrell needed to retrieve a few things, too, so they borrowed Eddie’s beat-up blue truck and left right after breakfast. Dakota drove.
