The moment passes, and we sit in comfortable silence as the sun starts to dip lower in the sky. We're all exhausted. Emotionally wrung out, but together. And for now, that's enough. KRUE The sand is warm beneath my bare feet, and the ocean stretches endlessly and blue in every direction. Waves crash gently against the shore, rhythmic and soothing. Daphne is beside me. She's smiling. Her hair catches the sunlight, and she looks peaceful and happy. We're just walking. Not talking. Just existing together in this perfect, quiet moment. I reach for her hand, and she laces her fingers with mine. Our hands fit together like they were made for each other. Everything feels right. Then I see him.
