"Now stand up straight, chest forward, I want your eyes to be on me"Mrs Flinn commanded while raising her wooden wand on the air as Sparks of magic bubble came flying around the room

"Oops"she waved it again as little sparkly magic came to land on Adelene's PJ's transforming it to a ball gown.

"Mom"Adelene whined a little more like a baby

"John, come over would ya"Mrs Flinn yelled

"Would you please quit the whining you're no more 8" Mrs Flinn chuckled still holding her wand.

John soon stepped into the room his hair messy as he stood staring at he rested his body on the wall beside the door.

"Ta da" Mrs Flinn laughed out loud.

"Isn't she just a princess"

"She's just like Cinderella"John joked.

"Shouldn't you be getting prepared for your trip to glome but you look really prepared for a ball "John joked elbowing frowning Adelene who just rolled her eyes.

"Adele baby just look at yourself you look ready for a ball"

"C'mon penny quit dressing our daughter like a doll or a princess u Know she hates that"John said in a little laugh

"Thank you Dad"Adelene replied now turning to face her mother in an arched eyebrow.

"Wand please?" She asked stretching out her hands and wrapping them against her mother as she placed her head on Penny's chest.

"Winter break is over mom"Adelene sniffed."I have to go back Mom, I have a lot of work to be done at school" Raising her head a little she slowly grabbed Penny's wand from her fingers .

"C'mon penny you always do this every time she has to go back our baby is grown up now ok"John said grabbing penny softly.

"John I miss the times she was just a kid you know"penny sniffed softly

"Mom don't bother about me okay listen to dad, it's not my first day in school, am in my last year mom quit the whining mother"Adelene chuckled hugging Penny one more time as John joined.

"Alright now let's go Penny, she has to get ready to go".John said after 3 minutes of hugging Adelene.

With a flick of her wand she changed back to her PJ's

"I just can't figure out how am so good in wands mom but am a witch, isn't that weird"

"Mom you know want time in class I almost compelled One of the students in my class during lessons" she continued opening her wardrobe and taking out some clothes into the luggage which lay on her scattered bed.

"What I know is you're special Adelene"penny replied taking her wand from the bed as she stepped out of the room with John closing the door behind them .

Adelene just sighed as she continued what she was doing.

Moments later Adelene climbed down the steel staircase taking a right turn to the dinning room table. John and penny already seated eating breakfast. Breakfast was protein shake and baked chicken wings with bread

"Oooh just what I needed". Adelene squeaked excitedly as she quickly and hungrily devoured the whole meal.

"That was quick"John shocked as he looked into her plate.

Adelene smilingly carried her plates away into the sink for washing then scurried back upstairs.

Penny's eyes followed Adelene worriedly all the while as she was deep in thought as she pondered on what Adelene talked about..

"John"She finally spoke out after me moments of silence and making sure Adelene was not in sight.

"Mhmmmm"he sipped his protein shake little before he placed it on the table using the table napkin.

"Adelene talked about compelling a student lately,don't you think a fairy witch wouldn't be able to compel....

"Penny Adelene is fine she's doing okay but about compelling though" he stopped to think a little which is almost similar to that of blood bending those non vampires recorded to have had it died centuries ago but I don't know about any recently discovered non vampires with compelling.

Penny just nodded then continued her meal trying hard to push silly thoughts from her head.

"Don't you think her hidden powers are sprouting out little by little, remember Darian the warlock that told us about Adelene's fate but didn't say what it meant?"

John just stiffled a nod as penny went on

"I guess it's time to tell her john, about her fate,so she could be prepared you know"

"You're totally wrong penny"he replied gently pushing his chair gently then sipping his protein shake.

"Adelene will end up being worried like what you're doing right now"he stopped to look at his wife who just sighed worriedly.

"Darian talked about the gods, they would find her and let her know when the right time comes, the gods will decide penny and quit your worriedness".

Standing up he walked up to his wife placing a kiss in her forehead softly and grabbed her hands on the table.

"Love, everything's alright let the gods do their thing,they chose her right?"

"Yeah"

"So stop bothering okay she'll be fine"

"Thanks John guess am worrying too much".

    " I forgot to tell you love"

      "What happened" Penny stopped eating as she faced her husband.

    "The fairy council sent a message to all the fairy families that there will be a meeting tomorrow"

   "What do you think the meeting's for john"

     "To be frank with you Penny everyone and everything is living in fear, I won't be surprised if all the fairies magical powers are all gone along with our empire, The dark queen maybe"

There was silence has both pondered on what the council meeting was all about.

Adelene continued pushing things into her box in frustration...

   "I'm gonna be damn late" she screamed finally zipping up her box.

    "Finally" she gasped grabbing her box hurriedly and running out of the room.

   "You ready yet" john screamed downstairs already waiting for her at the door.

     "Coming" she replied as she hurriedly ran downstairs

       "My baby's leaving right now" before Adelene could run pass her she hugged her tighter.

       "I'll miss you Adele, you be good okay"

       "C'mon mom, I'll be good am not a rebel"

        "Times out you two, Adele c'mon let's go you're an hour late to glome"

       "Bye Mom" adelene waved while entering the car"

Penny waved back at her. Starting the car, john drove off speedily.

2 hours later.....

    "Hey" John shook Adele ne violently to wake her up.

   "Am awake " she yawned from the back.

    "You totally look like sleeping beauty baby"

    Adelene glared at him sleepily

    "Just saying" he raised his hands in defense.

     "Say no more dad" she laughed.

     "Glome" she said as she looked at the Massive golden gate with an inscription "Glome's academy" adorned with Ruby's at the top. They were in the parking lot outside the school as car's parked, the environment was kind of busy as students and parents flooded the arena entering and going out of the gates, excited students running to their friends, parents exchanging words  with their rebellious children, some excited and some frowning most especially the fresh men's.

      "Guess it's my turn to say Goodbye to you" his eyes twinkling a little as he looked around smiling.

         "I guess so" saying this she ran into her father's arms as he wrapped his hands around her back.

         "Why does winter break have to be so short"

Adelene laughed then released herself from his hands, picking up her luggage beside her.

  "Bye dad" she waved while following the other students into the gate as it opened revealing the mighty beautiful buildings that stood in the compound with trees and flowers that added beauty to the school. Turning back she saw her dad standing leaning his back to the the car. He waved at her smilingly before a parent came to distract him making him turn away to face the man shaking hands together.

Adelene chuckled a little then turned back to the school, walking slowly due to her luggages before she knew it she was in someone's arms.

Ice flower perfume, she thought trying to remember the little giggling voice of her attacker.

    "Oooo, I missed you so much Adele"

She finally spoke up releasing Adele.

     "Wynter" she remembered the Blondie that stood in front of her now.

  "You totally startled me wynter" she said catching some air.

  "Let me help you with that" she quickly took Adelene's box rolling it with style as they walked on the carpeted floor.

   "I was almost thinking you forgot about me, like Adele how'd you forget your best friend" she dramatised

"If you spent the break with me I wouldn't have been bored at the ice palace, but you're just too hard headed" she snarled waving at students.

    "Has Paige and Nola arrived" Adelene asked remembering her roommates.

  "Paige's sleeping, while Nola went to get her documents ready for tomorrow's project". Wynter said.

    "Alright then".

  "So how was the break" Wynter pushed open the silver door as they climbed steadingly to their room which was actually on the second floor.

   "It was so drastic you know"

   "Lemme guess about Adrienne right"

     "You mean the dark queen, someone might hear you call her by her name"

    "I don't give a damn" Wynter laughed.

      "Am sick of the stairs" she brought out a wand from her pocket waving it on the air immediately which made everything float on the air including Adelene and herself.

  "Impressive"

   "Guess those private floating spells turned out good right?"

   " Yeah, Mom made me take them" they landed on the second floor then quickly turned to the right where their room was.

  "At last"

The purple painted room with a flowery interior design was delightful, rose petals essence gave an alluring scent of it's own.

"It smells like mum's vanilla ice cream" Adelene dropping her luggages inside the closet beside her bed savoured the scent.

   "It's actually Paige's though, she won't let me use my ice flower perfume" wynter whined as she fell on her bed.

  "Faires, have a thing for nature" wynter yawned.

     "Off course they're the protectors of nature" Adelene replied unzipping her box.

     "True" A red haired girl replied as she stood at the door.

       "Nola!" Adelene exclaimed dropping her bag to hug Nola.

       "Thank goodness you came back today Adelene" Nola giggled.

       "How was the witches convention?"

     "Wish it happened"Nola said as she sat down on the bed sleeping Paige slept.

       "I'm never going to be sleeping beautys cousin" Nola scoffed while looking at Paige.

       "It's not her fault"wynter responded as she grabbed a towel.

       "The witches convention didn't hold because of Adrienne,the winter break was messed up"

   "Tell me about it"

  Paige groaned a little, turning to face the girls as she opened her eyes slowly.

     "Adelene"she exclaimed almost in a whisper, standing up gently and rubbing her eyes. Adelene walked up to her corner and sat on her bed

     "Hey"

     "Hii, wen did you arrive?"

     "Not quite long" she responded.

      "Is it almost dinner time?"

Nola burst out laughing.

        "Dinner, you sure about that"wynter poked her head from the bathroom door.

       "Whatever"Paige replied. Adelene walked over to her closet then continued her arrangements as Paige plugged in her ear plugs in while Nola played some songs about lovers.

      "Turn it off Nola" Paige pleaded

       " Fine" Nola grudgingly turned it off.

        "Am scared" Paige said as she plugged out her ear plugs.

     "Why" Wynter asked stepping out of the bathroom to her corner.

   "It's the dark queen" Adelene and Nola turned to Paige." She's planning to take all our respective magic, I can feel nature magic going out from me every second, I might just wake up one day and boom! My magic is gone"

She said her face pale

   "That won't happen, I promise ok"wynter smiled pulling up her PJ's.

      "It will Wynter, there's no one to stop her, she's the most powerful person now, its just up to the gods". Adelene whispered softly. The girls were in silence as they thought of the dangers that might happen soon, they didn't know when they all slept off leaving Adelene fully awake still arranging her things until she slept off.
