“W-what?” I asked, shaking with disbelief.
My heart drummed against my ribcage and the corners of my eyes slightly watered. Despite how terrified I looked and felt, Collins remained unfazed.
“I said get on the bed,” he ordered again like it was nothing.
Clenching and unclenching my fists, I took in a deep breath and obliged. Each step that I took towards the bed felt like hell. It felt like the ground underneath me had suddenly turned into fiery hot coal and my body reacted by making my sweat glands work overtime.
