The city skyline burned in neon as Luca’s sleek black car roared down the empty avenue. Isabella sat opposite him, eyes sharp, scanning every turn, every calculated movement.

“You think you can just brush me off?” she hissed, fingers tapping her thigh, voice brittle as broken glass.

Luca’s hand rested casually on the gearstick. He didn’t look at her. “I didn’t brush you off. I just… tolerate you tonight.”

“Tolerance?” Her laugh was sharp, cutting. “You call this tolerance?” She gestured to the scarlet stain spreading across her dress. “You couldn’t even keep your little distraction away from me for five minutes.”

A smirk tugged at his lips. “She wasn’t the distraction.”

Her jaw tightened. “Then what? Your ego? Your reputation?”

Finally, he met her gaze. Dark, dangerous, magnetic. “Jealous, Isabella?”

Her eyes flared. “Maybe. And maybe you should feel it.”

For a heartbeat, the world shrank to the space between them—the heat, the danger, the unspoken pull. Luca could almost taste her desire, sharp with fury. Intoxicating.

The car skidded around a corner, tires screaming. “You’re reckless,” she warned, voice low, deadly.

He leaned closer, and her pulse jumped. “I like it when you’re dangerous,” he murmured, barely above the engine’s roar.

A growl of frustration escaped her lips, perfect and tantalizing. Isabella had always been untouchable—but tonight, tonight she was just within reach.

By the time they reached the private rooftop club, tension clung to them like smoke. Every glance, every step was a challenge.
