Hello Autumn

Chapter 9: Family Ties

Autumn:

Well that was a shock! Way to drop a bomb on me. I am interested in finding some answers that may better help me know where I'm from. "Alright I'm in hook line and sinker may I speak to the rogue that gave you this information?"

I ask Hunter. He thinks for a minute and then replys "Are you sure your up to it? We can go down to the dungeon in the morning if you would really like to." I nod my head "Yes I think that will work just fine." we finish our dinner and hunter shows me how to get to my closet through his. "Set this up however you like and we can have the room and really the whole house redone to your taste. I just left it the way my parents had it done but the whole place is ours to do with as we will. I can have my mom bring some of her magazines to give you ideas but this is our home and I want it to feel like it." He says to me as I sit here dumbfounded at how ridiculously large this closet is. "My belongings won't fill a 4th of this!" I squeak he chuckles and sits in one of two armchairs positioned across from a privacy devider. I notice a built in safe in the floor. " Is there a key or a combination to that?" I ask Hunter and he pulls out a key ring and hands it to me. " This is your set it opens all the locks in the house the iron one with the heart shaped top opens your jewelry safe." I open my hand and he places the keys on my palm I grab the backpack I took from the hidden passage in my old cabin. I put the key in the lock and grab the handle and am surprised to find the safe lifts out of the floor and then you open the front like a large jewelry box. I start pulling the items out of my bags as Hunter sits and watches. Two large spell books, 6 stacks of 20s, 4 stacks of hundreds and for no reason at all 10 rolls of quarters approximately $52,100. A loded side arm and an extra magazine also loaded, as well as a knife in a thigh holster. "If you lift the bottom you can place your cash, books, and weapons In the hidden compartment." Hunter says without even batting an eyelash. I do as he says and then replace the floor safe and turn the key and lock it. I start in on the rest of my belongings starting with my clothes. I get everything put away except my herbs which he assures me he will be adding a green house on to our house and that can help design so it fits my needs. I grab all my homade natrual soaps and creams and bring them out to his bathroom to put it all away. I have him show me how to turn the shower on so I can do this my self in the future. After showering I come out in a camsol and a pair of undies and crawl into bed next to him. He pulls me close and spoons me and I quickly fall asleep.

Hunter:

Having her close to me even in this stressful time of unknowing puts me at peace. I never realized just how strong the mating bond would be. Tomorrow is coming to quickly and though I feel this ridiculous urge to keep her away from any danger, I know she needs answers.I can't hold her back she needs to know where she is from. I can't sleep there's to much on my mind. I have to help her anyway I can. I get out of bed carefully and link my beta "Want to spar?" I ask "Can't sleep?" he asks back "Not a wink meet you in the gym in 10?" I need to work these thoughts out

"Already here see you soon" he replys. I quickly throw some sweats and a tshirt on and jog to the gym to warm my muscles up.

I get to the gym and Silas is inside stretching I join him to stretch as well " what's on your mind alpha Hunter?" He asks me and I think for a minute before I reply. " Autumn wants to speak to the rogues." I say " Are you going to let her? Do you think she can get the information she is looking for out of them?" Silas asked me as we walk onto the sparing mat we do a warm up round first. " Yah I am going to let her. She may not have your interrogating skills but I think it's important for her to get answers. What if she has family that wants to be in her life, she deserves a shot at a relationship with them." He swipes my feet out from under me and I immediately grab him and pull him down with me. " Well she is a strong girl. I hope for her sake it's a doting family and not the stab ya in the back and take you out kind." He says as we ground grapple. "We will have to let her figure that out. If they are good we make peace." I say as I get him into a hold he taps and asks "and if their not?" I look at him seriously for a second. "If their not we leave that choice to your luna as well. This is her family buisness and she has to be able to take charge of the situation" I say.

Autumn:

I wake up and hunter isn't in bed. I decide to get up and put together some herbs for interrogating the rouge in a couple hours. I go to my closet and put together a truth tea. I am wide awake now so I decide to do some yoga and meditation to relax myself I'm in the middle of some breathing exercises when I here the door open but it's not hunters smell. I quickly throw a pair of shorts on. I grab my knife and a potion to incapacitate who ever is in my room. I silently sneak out and peak around the doorjam in Hunters part of the closet. There's two very large rogues. I quietly walk out behind them and throw my potion on the first one I reach. Just when I think I have the situation under control a rogue I didn't account for sneaks up behind me and throws a chloroform drenched rag over my face, the one I was about to attack turns towards me with a gun. "Struggle and I will shoot you. Your family is waiting for you little hybrid. " Are the last words I here before I loose consciousness.
