Bella's POV
"Bella!" I heard Jake calling my name as I walked past the library to go to my next class. How did he even notice me; I was moving at lightning speed or that's what I thought I was doing. I didn't expect our path to cross so abruptly like this.
I knew the reasons why I was angry with Jake were pretty childish but I was really hurt by him. His jokes only triggered my past traumas and regrets. So me being upset with him was completely valid, at least to me it was.
I clenched my books near my chest and slowly stepped towards him. I deliberately avoided his calls and messages the entire morning so it was downright awkward now.
"Bella!"
Phew, rescued! I glanced back, searching for the voice that called me.
My eyes gleamed seeing Swetha approaching me.
