55 Lucifer left soon after the conversations with Elohim and Lucian, but Lucian had permission to stay a while longer. It had been a long time since he and Addison had been together, and now, with sheets curled around them he let her settle into the crook of his arm, and listened to her breathe as she slept. There had been no weepy moments in the last two weeks, no unusual outbursts, life had gone on as usual. The strong, confident woman he had come to know, was still there under all the un-easiness that this war had brought on.
