35 She had woke up sore and in an odd position on the floor of a small room.  She sat up, leaned against the wall and pressed her hand into her eyes, rubbing out sleep and confusion.  Looking over to the mattress that lie on the floor, David was there, snoring softly as he slept.   She groaned a little, her head banging again and felt like she might cry.  How had this happened?  How would they find her and David?  She was afraid for the first time in a long time and she didn't like the feeling.   She looked over to David, who had started to wake up and tried to smile but it just wouldn't come.  The boy sat up and rubbed his eyes too.  "Where are we, Mother?  What happened?"
