44 David sat outside her room, legs crossed and back against the wall. He threw a ball against the wall, letting it thump against the plaster and bounce back at him. He hated that she spent so much time in there. They had a whole house for her to sit in and she always locked herself away in this bedroom. He could hear the two of them screaming at each other, things being knocked over and thrown. She was so angry at him, but David didn't understand why she was so upset.
