BEFORE MY EYES, THE man I’d spent the last few days getting to know morphed into something completely different.
I watched with wide eyes and a mouth that hung open as his entire body shifted.
His beautiful, golden skin sprouted fur, silver with flecks of pure white, and he shrunk down, onto all fours. His nose elongated, his eyes shifted to yellow, and his ears grew.
In mere moments, much faster than I’d expected, I was staring at a truly magnificent animal. Something about his eyes and the way they flashed the familiar shade of yellow was enough to reassure me that, despite this new exterior, Christian was deep down, underneath the fur and the snarling fangs.
