Grimm
Former police inspector Hendrick Grimm meanwhile continued his random surveillance of the property with a schedule that was in fact no schedule at all. He would sometimes walk all or part of the property perimeter and at other inclement weather moments he’d drive the rut-filled roads, checking the obvious hang-outs of the local vagrants and city kids visiting for a short thrill or midnight screw with some level of privacy. This system seemed to have its benefits and he regularly showed up at our door with two or three trespassers and the questioning look as to what we wanted him to do with them. In nearly every case, these offenders were kids racing hot cars on the old runway or couples humping in the woods until Grimm arrived.
