I started the day by showering and making sure my entire body was smoothly shaved. I got dressed and killed some time running errands, watching TV, and messing around on my laptop.
The clock felt like it was barely moving, but when 8:00pm finally came, I headed down to the bar with growing excitement.
I was a little nervous it might be awkward after what we did last night — especially the way I was dressed and behaved — but I told myself what was done was done. I would just go with the flow.
Brian was already at the same table. As soon as I sat down, I broke the ice with a small smile.
“That was some night last night, wasn’t it?”
“Yeah, it sure was,” Brian replied. “That’s all I could think about all day.”
The tension melted away almost instantly and we both relaxed.
