Asher’s point of view It poured outside, raindrops falling over everyone at the cemetery. My gaze was fixed on Liam’s grave as it lowered into the ground. Gunshots echoed throughout the place as our fellow Mafia bid their farewell to him; he was a member of the underworld after all, and people came with their numbers to pay their respects to him. My grandma and Nick were sobbing uncontrollably with each second his coffin lowered, but I just stared at him blankly; I didn't feel anything at this moment. He deserved to die; that's what betrayers like him deserve. Had I let him live, he was simply going to kill me at some point, and I didn't allow it to happen. It was more like self-defense. He was my brother; I loved him, but he chose to betray me, and that's when our relationship ended.
