Roman left to take the call. Easton and Anaya went after him. The office phone showed an unknown number and an ongoing call on hold. Roman put it on speaker.
"Callen," he said.
"Ah, Roman. It took you quite a while to arrive. I thought I'd be left hanging for a long time." Callen's voice came from the phone. It was Anaya's first time listening to this voice and it gave her chills. He did not sound too sick.
Roman frowned, "What is the purpose of this call? You want to return Charlotte and Logan back to us?"
Callen did not seem to be half as serious as Roman. He casually dallied for a while before saying, "Not really. But I want to say that all your preparation is going to waste. To save you some time and effort, I'd like to propose an offer to you."
