The girls grabbed a booth by the window in the restaurant, far enough away from the playground that they didn’t have to listen to little kids squealing. Georgie watched people as they entered, half listening to Sofia’s jokes.
‘I’m starving,’ announced Nadia as she put a tray filled with burgers and fries on the table. ‘Who was having the one without sauce?’
‘That’s mine!’ Sofia grabbed it before anyone else claimed it.
‘That’s just weird. Who doesn’t like sauce on a burger?’ Georgie said.
