With their relationship official, Jared and Melissa were spending as much spare time as they could together. Choosing not to make it an issue, she’d pushed the strange sight of Jared and his mates taunting the man at the basketball court far out of her mind. It simply didn’t compute that was the same person who showered her with compliments and gently held her hand as they walked around school together. Sometimes the rest of the group joined them and they went trampolining, played basketball or met up at the mall to catch a movie. Mostly though, it was just the two of them.
