I was so eager to get through Friday. I was giddy with excitement for the trip. A part of me was insanely nervous too. I tried not to read too much into it, but it was hard not too. I focused on my work and turned down happy hour drinks with the girls, eager to get home.
I swung by KB’s after work to drop off more food and give Bella a kiss. I walked up to drop my work stuff at home. By the time I got to my apartment, Ace was waiting outside the door. Leaning against the outer wall with a giant lazy grin across his face. “Hey Beauty. You ready?” If I wasn’t looking at him, I would be able to hear the smile in his voice. “Sure am! Ready to unplug.” He gave a small chuckle while I unlocked the door.
