"I'll be taking the crystal glory and the other tarverens as well"
"What??"
"That's not possible, you can't just take us like that" Alen protested.
"Yeah, Alen's right" Ketil added.
The children had just had a horrible time and separating them wasn't gonna help.
"Kirigan, the children don't want to go. Besides they're strong enough, I can take care of them" Grace said.
"Listen, the fact you were able to get away from Palaestra doesn't mean it'll go the same way with these kids. We are talking about the crystal glory here. Trust me, she's better off at Palaestra than here" Kirigan aired his point.
"But i don't want to go, I don't want to be separated further from my family"
"OK that's a big word, your fa.ily is gone, take it or leave it and we're just discovering that your last relative has turned to the dark. Take it from me girl, you're alone!"
"No that's where you're wrong. We are her family" Alen said, pointing to the rest of the other children.
"Yes, we all grew together, ate together, cried together, age together, shared each and everyone's burdens, you can't just write us off. Besides, if she's going, then I'm going too. I've had enough of you magicians oppressing me" Ketil said as he fold his hands.
"You guys don't understand do you? You guys touched the source. The shadowsouled would come after you and these ones you claim to love. Palaestra is the city of refuge for you guys".
"OK, we'll follow you, after all I need to learn this power I have" Alen said.
"Well, I'll come with you, I have a brother I need to save" Seren said standing up after regaining consciousness.
"But you'll still have to take me along too" Ketil said.
"Is it alright if he tags along?"
"No problem then, afterall we have spots for people like him"
"Now say your goodbyes, we leave now!!" Kirigan ordered.
"Never forget where you guys are coming from. We'll always be here waiting for your return " Grace said.
"Yes sister" they chorused.
"But sister, where would you guys stay, the orphanage is in shambles"
"Don't worry, I have made contact with our sister orphanage. Thy should be arriving any moment from now" Grace explained.
"We will miss you all"
The children gathered around for a group hug.
"Um Kirigan I'd like to ask you for a favour"
"Go on Grace"
"Please erase the memory of this incident from those who are staying. I don't want this leaking out"
"Of course, I was planning gon doing that" He said as he brought out a talisman. He placed the talisman on the children's heads.
"Well, we'll be moving now"
"Aren't you gonna call a cab?" Ketil asked.
"Oh, sorry about that but we'll be moving on foot"
"Talk about the most boring transportation ever" Ketil said as he let a sigh of disappointment.
"Wait, I'd like to make a call"
Kirigan brought out his phone and dialed Bram's number.
"Hello Bram"
"Wassup man, what's poppin"
"Set the array, I'll be coming in the next few hours, I've got some news"
"What's this news about? The saints are having a serious meeting at the moment"
"I'll tell you when I get back"
"Please get me a souvenir from over there okay" Bram said before cutting Kirigan off.
"So, we're moving"

"Just tell us the truth Sir Kirigan, you're too broke to give us a ride" Ketil said after they've had walked many miles. Exhaustion was already setting in.
"Don't worry we'll soon get there" Kirigan assured them.
"Where are we heading to actually?" Alen asked.
"We would get to Norway express, there we would get to Palaestra via a waygate"
"Norway express??, we have just signed a death warrant" Ketil said
"Why did you say that?" Kirigan asked
"Norway express is miles away from here!!, how do you even trek that long distance. Is your feet made of hammer?"
A cab was driving and Seren waved at it to stop.
"Hey why are you halting the cab, do you have money?" Kirigan asked.
"When we reach that bridge, we'll cross it"
The cab driver parked in front of them.
"Where to?"
"Norway express sir"
"That's 15 USD for the 5 of you"
"No problem sir"
The five of them got into the bus.
"Hey Seren, you got this figured out already?" Alen asked.
"Just leave it to me okayy"
The drive to Norway express took about an hour. Truth be told it was damn smooth. Ketil slept like a baby in the cab.
"We're here, Norway express "
They alighted from the car.
"So what next?" Ketil asked.
Seren picked up a baton nearby and smashed it on the head of the cab driver. The cab driver passed out immediately
"What!!!"
"Sorry man, but we don't have the payment yet. Promise I'll make it up to you"
"Oh my goodness, you've killed him!!" Ketil panicked.
Seren checked his pulse rate
"Nope, he's very much alive"
"You never told me you were like the bad ass bastard here" Alen said.
"I do what I hafta do, now let's get going, I got someone to save"
"Seren you're a bad guy" Mirana, who had been quiet all this while finally spoke up.
"Alright, let's move"
Kirigan directed them to a town hall nearby.
"Like seriously, a townhall"
"Just shut the feck up and wait"
Kirigan moved to the front. On the wall was a continuous circular design. Kirigan started generating lightning.
"Um, what are you doing?"
"Opening a waygate"
Kirigan then channeled the lightning he had generated across the circular path.
The wall divided into two.
"Woah, that's awesome" Alen complimented.
"Get in before it closes, a waygate doesn't waste time"
The five of them walked in. The place was like a walkway with fire lighted around for viewing.
"This place is unusually quiet"
"Yeah you're right"
"Something's wrong" Kirigan sensed a weird aura in the way gate.
"U-um, are we safe?" Mirana asked, tightly holding Seren's hand.
"Don't worry we'll be fi--"
Seren hadn't finished his statement when a herd of goblins sprang at them
"What the hell!!" Ketil screamed.
"How are goblins in the waygate?" Kirigan readied for battle as he drew out extase.
"Oh no, I'm gonna die!!"
"Oh for once shut the hell up Ketil, we need to figure out how to deal with them. Hey mister any trick to um touch the source or whatever you call it?" Alen asked.
"Um, relax your mind and feel the power flowing through you like an open sieve"
Alen sat down with legs crossed as if he wanted to meditate but still nothing worked.
"Um, I don't think it's working" Alen said, he was already getting scared.
The goblins were much for Kirigan to handle.
"This is why I hate protecting people, they always weigh me down"
Mirana stepped forward and immediately, all the goblins were crystallized.
"Wow, how did you do that?" Ketil asked
"Don't know"
"What's that?" Seren asked pointing to a light that was leading upwards.
"Everyone quick, to the light!!" Kirigan ordered.
They all ran to the light and immediately they vanished alongside the light.
"Aaah!!" Ketil landed with his butt to the ground.
"It seemed like we fell from a great height"
They turned to see three men who looked like guards.
"Who are you??!" The guards asked, ready to battle.
"It's okay, I'm with them" Kirigan said as he walked up to the guards, showing them his token.
"Oh pardon me. Welcome to Palaestra"
