Training with the jade bead was easier than expected after they learnt how to draw out malkri. It took them 2 days to master how to light the jade beads.

"Aww, I'm so damn tired of training with jade beads, I can't believe we spent six days to do that even after we mastered it in just a day" Alen said.

"Yeah, thank goodness we'll be starting another stuff tomorrow" Mirana added.

"Um, has anyone heard from Ketil since we parted ways?" Seren asked.

"I haven't heard from him since then. Is he okay?" Mirana said as anxiety began painting on her face.

"I'm sure he's breaking a leg over there. Don't worry, Ketil isn't someone who'd just give up halfway" Alen encouraged them.

"Hey Ketil, stop slacking off!!" The head coach, Mr. Kiyomasa screamed at Ketil. Ketil wasn't finding the training funny. From the hectic morning drills to the brains destructing academic sessions. There is basically no time for breaks.

"I'm gonna die!!" Ketil shouted our loud.

"Then die working out. You cannot confront the dark with such weak ass body, you confront the dark with fiber muscles!!" Mr. Kiyomasa said as he displayed his biceps.

"To be honest sir, you're a big dumb musclehead!!"

"Oh shut up, you minimum shrimp!!"

"You're worst than a gorilla!!"

"You're worst than a flea"

Ever since Ketil arrived at Quarter Banks (QBs), he and Mr. Kiyomasa have been like cat and mouse.

"There, they're at it again" a newbie like Ketil named Dao Ma from China said.

"They never stop their crazy arguments don't they?" A girl named Layla added.

"Imagine if they were father and son, they'd have turned the family into something else" a guy named Luther said.

"I guess they too enjoy this kind of relationship" Dao Ma said.

"You know what, I've had it up to here you musclehead i***t, I'll take you on!!" Ketil lashed out.

"With what exactly?, with those forsaken noodles hands of yours, you'll die for real!!" Mr. Kiyomasa retorted.

"Y-you, I'll deal with you later" Ketil said before walking out on Mr. Kiyomasa.

"You're hopeless young man!!"

The truth was that the very first moment Ketil came in contact with Kuyomasa, he felt that this person standing in front of him was someone extraordinary, and Kiyomasa felt the same but Ketil liked to joke around and Kiyomasa was overly serious and that's how they always cross each other.

"It's fun watching them argue" Layla added.

Ketil was already getting frustrated. The drills and exercises were already draining him out.

"I guess I'll just quit and return back to the orphanage. Highest I'll just forget the memories of these experiences" Ketil said to himself.

"So you're just gonna give up like the brat that you are" Kiyomasa said from behind.

"Oh, it's you, musclehead"

"Listen, this is not the time to be sulking. Come with me" Kiyomasa said as he dragged his hand.

"Where the hell are you taking me you gorilla??"

"Just shut up and follow like the flea that you are!!"

He took Ketil to a mountain top.

"So why did you bring me here?, to look at this crappy view??"

"No you dumb ass. I brought you here to reflect on yourself. You came to Palaestra for a reason. Why is that?"

"I gotta save someone fron the dark'" Ketil answered.

"What's your relationship with this person?"

"We grew up together at the same orphanage. He was like a brother to me, ro us actually"

"Us??"

"Yeah, I wasn't the only person who came from the orphanage. The other three touched the source so they're receiving magic training at the main camp"

"Oh I see, go on"

"We thought he was adopted, only to discover he was let's say kidn*pped by a demon from the dark. Now he's turned to the dark. I can still remember that night Kirigan came to our aid, I could see hell"

"Kirigan??"

"Yeah, you know him?"

"Who doesn't know Kirigan. That burnt beans!!" He said as he clenched his fists.

"Really, that guy's the most boring human I've ever me in my entire life"

"I'll agree with you on that"

The duo burst out in laughter.

"To be honest, the reason why I came ro Palaestra is because I've had enough of being tormented by those magicians so I thought I could make a name for myself. But with the way things are moving, I doubt if I can keep up" Ketil let out his burden.

"You see, I was once like you. The main reason I came to Palaestra was because I happen to see a guy who could touch the source and I was amazed by it, only to discover that I can never touch the source no matter how hard I tried. I almost gave up but anytime I come here, I always feel rejuvenated and it gives me hope to carry on. I've been here for over 30 years and I haven't touched the source once but I'm still going forward and you should do the same" Kiyomasa advised.

"T-thanks man"

"Wait did you just thank me??" Kiyomasa asked adjusting his glasses to look at Ketil in a funny way.

"If you don't want it I can have it back!!" Ketil shouted as his face became red.

"The pleasure is mine you flea. Anyways I planned on announcing it tomorrow but since you're here I'll tell you first"

"What's the matter?" Ketil asked, anxious to know.

"Well, there's a little deviation from the normal running of the QBs program. We are implementing the use of 3D manoveur gears in order to fight the dark wyverns"

"Wyverns? Never heard of it"

"Wyverns are monster that fly and they have sharp eyesight. We are implementing the 3D gears so we'd be needing soldiers who can take up such tasks. Are you in?"

"You bet I am" Ketil answered with all boldness.

"Alright then, welcome to the team. Training starts next week"

"Alright. Are you also in the 3D section" Ketil asked.

"Why are you asking. Don't tell me you're missing me already??"

"I'd rather kiss a dog's ass than think of you" Ketil answered.

"Well, I'll be joining the 3D section too, I mean it's cool to fly around, slaying monsters. It's gonna be so much fun"

"Once again, thanks a lot"

"Anytime, I'm always here"

Ketil walked away with his head relaxed that day. He had finally knew the path he wants to follow.

"Just wait, you all will say my name!!"
