I woke up in an empty bed. I had been dreaming but already forgot what it was but I could smell trees and moss even awake. Daniel was sitting by the table, writing something on his laptop. My loud sigh go his attention and he turned to me, having the sense of at least looking apologetic. “What time is it?” I asked. “Seven.” I groaned, flopping back down. I never liked waking up early, even when I had to do it for years it never got easy. It annoyed me that Daniel refused to stay resting but I guess sitting and working wasn't so bad and I didn't want to argue.
