chapter 6:Pride

Pride is what man rejoice in and woman destroy each other achieving but other say or define pride as a sense of dignity and self respect. But what happens when the sense of dignity and self respect is too much . We have been told or heard that a enemy of woman is another woman but how come can the same gender be an enemy to male as well. It just means females are too much even for the world to decide "who should we stereotype women as enemies of " .

Jokes aside we all know women are harmless but what we don't know is that the same way some man are acting to be strong some woman use the trick let him seem powerful while I am just the damsel in distress .

Pride is almost like a pandemic , it's spreads all over the world infecting everyone , others die suffering from the pandemic called pride and others still find the way out .

Pride is like a movie there many people pulling the strings to ensure it becomes a hit like the main characters who almost seem immune to death , supporting characters who sometimes die but their deaths bring meaning to the movie and the characters who are just there to drive the plot and increase the duration of the movie. Of course they're others who are just sitting back and watching the movie with a bucket full of popcorn and eyes filled with tears, others who direct the movie , others who write the movie and many more who do other things that contributes significantly to the overall movie but yet we don't even know their names unless you're family , won an award or we need their service.In this game called pride others die to set an example but their example is pushed faster than me realizing I just pulled a door I was supposed to push .

Pride makes people do impeccable things like lying about their identity, spend money roughly, insults their core beliefs, lose their love ones without any effort to retrieve what they lost and listen to devilish creatures.

If you lose someone don't let your pride , ego or mistakes stop you from telling him/her because love comes once and you might lose your loved ones through things that at the end of the day don't matter . Your pride won't comfort you during a moment of pain and in the moment of greatness your pride will bring you down so you can be at the same level as itself .

Even if through pride you will find a home , it will never allow you to believe in your actual potential. It will led you to a life with a glimpse of happiness, it will offer greed , the need of being better than others. When you ask to leave your pride behind . You will be asking yourself "can I handle life without oxygen "

With pride everyone will see everything around you as peaceful but when you lose or drop the pride act everything towards yourself will be broken. Without pride your heart will lament for nothing else. Does it make sense that pride consumes human and they will not notice but instead think it's self respect but there's is only a thin line between self respect and pride.

Take this story of example.

A man called Alexander Hamilton lives in the country side and that is his only home . He has never thought of leaving the country side . He is a simple man with a materialistic wife .He is humble and considerate. His brother Simon Hamilton is different he was born in the country side but is very confident and ambitious. One day their father was on his deathbed and he said that who ever between the two sons could make his wife happy would get his inheritance but Simon said he can't because his wife is meant to make him happy while Alexander who has fought with his wife ever since they got married agreed .

Simon 's wife loved him but Alexander 's wife nicknamed her husband "a living headache" . Simon who could have made his wife happy by just fetching water from the tap and offering it to her not at her feet would have the chance to chase his dream and ambition by claiming his father's inheritance.

But his pride didn't help him but destroyed him and his ambitious self . His story had a very heartbreaking ending because his wife was heartbroken because she thought he can't make her happy. Simon didn't even try to make his wife happy because pride overpowered the bond he and his wife share . Since Simon had already disagreed , Alexander didn't even have to make his wife happy. Simon's life was left with no glimpse of happiness but everything seemed wrong that he started asking himself "what do I lack "

The complete truth being that Simon don't lack anything . He had everything but lost it in one moment he let himself be controlled by pride or in one moment consumed by pride he lost everything. He watched as everything shattered into a dozen pieces filled with peace and yet his pride whispered into his ear " don't pick anything up because people will laugh at you . Pretend to be fine and let everything play out as if you won a crown and earth is your throne ". But what do you think was it pride , self respect or maybe his self respect was too much .

If humans couldn't find sugar cane today . Can't they replaced sugar cane with something else ? . Mabye replace it with root vegetables, a tropical grass or sugar beet because without sugar cane there is no approximately 80% of the sugar available in the world but there can be sugar cane without sugar . So the same way when humans don't have self respect they indulge in pride because without self respect there is pride but with self respect there is no pride . A person with self respect knows how to respect other people.

The truth is that Simon had won a crown but the crown he won was of pride and shame where all his dreams shattered and he lost himself, his ambition and his lovely wife 's care and love . But earth was not his throne because earth is no one's else expect the lord's property and only he gets to decide what happens with it .

The biggest superpower a human can have is his ability to swallow his pride and lead with his heart and love . In opinion each human should follow the heart because the heart doesn't age it's still the same you had when your life started and you had honest dreams that wouldn't destroy other people.By your heart I mean that voice inside your head that has the softest whisper but when you listen to it it gets louder and stronger.

I can never tell you what to do or what to not do but in Africa we say " if you want to go fast , go alone . If you want to go far , go together " . This proverb in my opinion simply means that if you want to achieve a lot take the entire village or if possible the entire world because succeeding is something everyone deserves but if you want to go fast go alone because others will slow you down .

Others in other parts of the world say that " education is better than no education". Similar to that quote I want to teach and education so you can be better than no education. I believe that people should be taught to remember not to understand because tomorrow you will need that lesson and you shall then understand it . Because you just know until you meet with a circumstance that requires that knowledge and at that moment you start to understand.
