OUR FIRST TOUCH

JANE POV: Once again, the dark blanketed the entire town and once again I found myself standing before the woods. I had not confided in Shirley about my plan as she would have never agreed. I was burning from inside. Every beat of my heart was screaming for “revenge.” Every breath I took was filling me with rage. I was not expecting Shirley to understand my feelings because nobody can understand it without going through it. I had to find that guy-c*m-werewolf who helped me last night. He seemed very strong and influential otherwise why would have those werewolves taken to their heels on his arrival. I penetrated into the woods with the hope of running into him again. The night had turned darker in the woods. I lit the torch and kept moving. My heart began to race again and my body had turned into a sweat producing machine. I wiped sweat off my face with a piece of cloth that I was holding in my hand. I kept proceeding until my ear twitched at the sound I had heard a night ago.  I turned to my right and saw the same pair of red eyes pointed at me. It was not him. It was perhaps, one of those werewolves I had confronted last night. I whipped out a knife from my bag and waited for him to attack. But he didn’t. He stayed put and continued giving me the death stare. It was weird. I was expecting him to make a move. Nevertheless, I held tightly onto my knife and paced towards him. He let out a low growl that sounded more like a warning to me. I was terrified to my core and I am sure that was visible on my face. I flashed my torch on his face in order to distract him and then I felt a blow.  I found myself lying on the ground with a giant wolf towering over me. I dragged myself away from his shadow and begin to run away. The wolf outed a growl causing a shiver course through my body. This giant dog was not going to let go of me. He again knocked me down with his head and I tried to pull myself up but my body was in too much pain to even move. I closed my eyes while a tear rolled down my left cheek. I felt fear taking over my senses and soon I drifted away in unconsciousness. This time, that stranget did not come to save me. I failed. I failed my brother.   I woke up with a sharp pain in my head. It was still dark and a wolf was running before me. It took me a second to come back to my senses and realize that I was dangling on a werewolf. What the F***.? I screamed him to stop but he did not, in fact, he sped up. I cried because that was all I could do at that time. However, he soon stopped. The fear gripped me again. Maybe, he was going to kill me now. I felt a hand pulling me off him. I resisted but his strength overpowered mine. The werewolf shifted to his human form once I got off him. He phased into a tall and white guy with a well-built physique. His black hair was cascading on his forehead.. He led whereas the man who was holding me walked behind him. “Let me go,” I pleaded. My request fetched no response from them. I still had no strength to even walk on my own. I decided to let the chip fall where they may and slipped back to unconsciousness as the constant throbbing in my head was getting insufferable. A cold sensation pulled me out of my unconsciousness. I opened my eyes only to find myself lying on a cold floor. I was in an empty room allowing a weak dash light through the small window carved above on the wall. I sat up and looked around. I didn’t know this place. Where was I? My heart shuddered when a realization dawned upon me. Was I captivated? I had to get out of here. So, I gathered all my strength and got up on my feet. I walked towards the entrance and started thumping the door. “Let me out,” I yelled at the top of my lungs. I continued beating until a woman unlocked the door and shoved me further inside the room. She slid a plate towards me. “Why have you kept me here,” I asked with no strength in my voice. She walked out without saying a word. I heard her locking the door. It was confirmed- I WAS TAKEN PRISONER. I shot a glance at the plate heavied with a couple pieces of bread and Omelette.  I ate the food as I was famishing. After that, I began waiting for the woman to come back as I had to ask some questions. After about many hours of wait I finally heard the sound of the unlocking of the door. I straightened myself up and waited for her to come inside. However, who came inside was a man. A man who must be in his mid-thirties stepped towards me and grabbed my hand. I tried to fight but he did not lose up his grip. “Alpha wants to see you,” the man commanded. A chill ran down my spine. The chief of the pack is called Alpha. He was my prime target but now I was at his mercy. I wanted to see him not as a mighty person but as a beggar, begging me for his life. I stopped resisting as I saw my end near and matched his step towards the Alpha. He had gone inside the room to check if the Alpha was free to see me. I was standing outside wondering how pathetic my last moments were going to be. My eyes welled up but I squeezed them shut and brushed off all the tears with my hand. He came out and grabbed my arm as if I was a murderer. They were the murderer, not me. He gently turned the knob and opened the door. My nose caught a whip of seductive scent as we entered the room. It was not someone’s personal room but an office. The white-colored wall was complementing the green chair. The big- wooden table had everything kept in apple pie order. And there was a man sitting on the chair with his eyes closed; the Alpha. He looked exactly like… Was he? I felt as if a lightning bolt struck me. I kept staring at him in shock whereas he seemed to be lost in his dreams with his eyes closed. “Alpha, we have brought her,” the man holding me informed. He flitted open his eyes. That was the same coral-blue eyes. Oh shit... He was him. The man I had pinned all my hopes on turned out to be my destroyer. The man I thought would protect me through the journey was going to give me a brutal death. I was shocked and heart-broken.  I could not fathom his reaction. He did not seem shocked or angry. He had a blank expression on his face. His eyes again bore into mine and just then I saw something in his eyes. I saw vulnerability, desire, and maybe craving? This was it, before I could catch more, he closed his eyes and a second later opened it. But this time he wasn’t looking at me but at the man who held my arm. “Get your hands off her,” he gritted his teeth. Anger flashed in his eyes for a moment. The man pulled his hand off my arm at once.  “Get out of my room and don’t let anyone come until my next command,” he ordered with a stern voice. He sounded nothing like he did in the woods.  “Should I take her too?” The man questioned. “No, she’ll stay” his voice turned softer. I was looking at the ground as fear had constricted me. Once I heard the door closing, the Alpha rose from his seat. He walked towards me. I could feel his eyes on me. My arm was shaking with fear. And then I felt a sensation sparkling all over my body when he entwined my shaking hand with his and said, "look at me. "  Surprisingly, his melodious voice and warm touch brought me some relief and my hand stopped trembling. But that doesn't mean my heart was at ease. It was still beating fast but this time for some unknown reason. I didn't look up as I was still gaping at our intertwined hand.  "Look at me, Jane, " he whispered, making his hold tighter.
