“It’s been a while, concubine Rochelle. How long was it? Four, five years ago?” I smiled at the count who greets me.
“Too long, my lord. Do you find the banquet adequate? I hope so because the emperor is doing his best to accommodate everyone’s need.” The count of his wife smiled before continuing to say their praises for the royal family.
This banquet- is just a farce Alfonso decided to do. On the outside, he used one of his consort’s birthday as a reason to invite all these nobles to the palace, but on the darker side, he wishes to inform everyone about our recent agreement with the king of Bratia.
