Repetitive Gabriel tightened his fist around the device, feeling a surge of determination. He was going to figure out the truth, no matter what it took. But how could he possibly fight off the Nexus in a country where they had a strong hold. He was just a stranger in this country regardless of the gibberish that woman had told him about his birth. He felt his invitation to Germany had only opened him up to the real trap. He was not safe here, he concluded. They made their way back up the stairs. As they emerged into the dim lights of the museum, Gabriel didn’t find anyone around. There had been footsteps before now, but no soul in sight now. He looked around, he realized that he was alone. The woman was nowhere to be seen. She had vanished into thin air. Gabriel became scared than ever.
