“The weather here is f*****g ridiculous,” Micah hissed as he swatted a tree branch out of his way. “I’m sweating my balls off, and the sun isn’t visible.”
“Which I am grateful for,” Elizabeth said, smiling. “I wouldn’t want to be able to leave the hotel room and come on this exhilarating adventure.”
Jem gave her the side eye. “Right.”
“It says the caves are here, but I don’t see the hyacinths anywhere,” Grey said, spinning around in a circle.
They had woken up at the crackass of dawn, much to everyone’s annoyance, and set off. They had walked through the forest and the hillside, and still, there was no sight of the caves Jem had seen. Grey was beginning to think that all the stress had gotten to Jem, and that dream had been a dream.
