Maddox scrambled out of bed as the group left his bedroom. Neo was awake, sitting up and scowling, his lavender hair dishevelled. “Come back to bed, Maddox,” he whined, running a hand through his bed hair.
Maddox smiled as he crawled over to him and kissed his cheek. “As much as I would love to, I can’t. Get up, freshen up and then we need to explain everything to the kids.”
Neo eyed him warily. “What do you mean everything? Didn’t the moon goddess say no one could know?”
“She came to me last night; she wants us to tell them. Everything. What’s done is done, she can’t change the fact that we are mates, but whatever the kids are doing, we have to explain this,” he said, pointing between him and Neo. “To them.”
Neo eyed him again. “Are you sure?”
“I am sure,” he replied, nodding.
